shai jumped out the cabin and asked someone what was this cabin.
well, it wasn't a dead bodies cabin. it was worse!
it was the guards cabin.
we tried to ignore and stay there but it was too late: the guards saw shai and asked us to come down.
and again, we didn't know what to do. there was not a single seat available and we couldn't go on the general cabin. at this point the general was even more full than before.
we had no choice. we needed to find empty space near some toilets in the sleepers cabin....
and we did find one.
it was fine! really!
we put some old news papers on the floor, pillows,we ate some snacks and play cards. we talked to our floor neighbors (one was with only one leg..).
compare to what we had before - it was paradise! i even fell asleep for 1 hour.
but good things sometimes disappear very quickly...
it was the conductor. he came to check the tickets and he was very angry when he discovered that everybody got only general tickets. he throw everyone out. he was yelling. he had no mercy. he didn't even care from the one leg man - he just didn't have the right ticket and he shouldn't be there.
but when he saw us he was smiling.
you know why? he knew that we would willing to pay him and he wanted the money. and he was right. we didn't care to pay. but he gave us really high price - and we refused.
he said that if we would have a seat the price would be the seat's price. but because we didn't have a seat we need to pay the seat's price + a fine that we didn't have a seat. it sound like a catch 22. we were stuck near a smelly toilets and he wanted us to pay for a seat + a fine because we didn't have a seat. why???
so we said no. and he was angry. he try to kick us out but we came back.
he tried to make us pay but we refused his high price.
so he send the guards. again, the same guards.
they look at us and say we should leave the cabin. but we refused. they didn't know what to do with us anymore.
at that point it became a bit late and the people in the cabin waited us to stop argueing and go to sleep. so what could they do? they come near us and have a look. try to explain us, talk with the guards and with the conductor. but we simply refused to pay this illogical price.
he got furious, he was angry, he yell at us. shai asked him to behave himself... to talk nicely because he is not our friend and we don't owe him nothing... and this got him even more furious. he was the "king" of the cabin and who are we coming and telling him how to control his cabin.
he went away angrily. and everyone returns to their beds. i fell asleep and hoped it was over.
but he come back with the guards for a "special process" ...
he wrote something and sign and than the guards sign and they read us that we are asked to leave the cabin.
okay....
we said "no".
we just wanted a discount, that's all. we didn't want to leave our "seats" on the floor.
he was so angry.......
he went away. all the people around try to convince us to pay, try to tell us we would be arrested, try to talked with the guards. i think all they want is to go to sleep.
and than, i don't know how, the guards asked us if we would pay only the seats price.
we were happy and immediately agree.
they went to check it and everyone else return to sleep.
we waited to conductor but when he showed up he didn't look at us. like he was trying to ignore we exist.
at some point 2 seats were available for us so we fell asleep.
the conductor didn't ask for the money at all.
we got to our destiny and went away....
we couldn't believe we had a seat without paying it.
but it is india. and in india every thing is possible......
